Turner named CSRA Nurse of the Year

Dr. Saundra “Sandy” TurnerDr. Saundra “Sandy” Turner, College of Nursing Assistant Dean for Community Partnerships,  was named CSRA Nurse of the Year by the CSRA Chapter of the Georgia Nurses Association.

She was presented the award during the 2013 Nursing Showcase hosted by the Chapter on Friday evening. She was honored along with other nurses from across the region including the College of Nursing Spirit of Nursing Award winners, Dr. Jean Pawl and Rebecca Rule.

Dr. Turner is a professor in the Department of  Biobehavioral Nursing where she served as chair for many years. She has been with the College of Nursing for 26 years and also serves as director of NP Programs. She holds academic appointments in The MCG Department of Family Medicine and the College of Graduate Studies.
